Chairman of the Communist Party of Nepal (Unified Socialist) Madhav Kumar Nepal has said that his party will fulfill its responsibility of nation building.
Speaking at a function held at the party's central office in Udaypur today, Chairman Nepal said that the revolutionary insurgency in the party would change the society as sincere communists were dedicated to his party. He said that there was a wave of people abandoning the CPN (UML) and joining the revolutionary path taken by Unified Socialists. Chairman Nepal said, "We have the momentum to fight against regression. No one can push back the flow of a river." Stating that there is a wave of people leaving various parties including UML and joining the Unified Socialists, the former Prime Minister of Nepal said that the new entrants will be given appropriate responsibilities.
Welcoming the newcomers, Deputy General Secretary of the party and Chief of Publicity Department Jagannath Khatiwada urged them to find solutions to the problems of direct concern of the people at the local level and to be active in the expansion of the organization. Kishor Chamling and Raju Rai, central members of trade unions close to the UML, have joined the Unified Socialists.
