Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba and CPN (Maoist Centre) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal today held a meeting to discuss the expansion of the Cabinet.
Dahal held a discussion with PM Deuba who is also Nepali Congress President regarding the expansion of the Council of Ministers, at the latter's official residence in Baluwatar today.
Presently, in the Cabinet, there are four ministers from ruling NC and two ministers from CPN MC.
Meanwhile, Deuba has pressure to expand the Cabinet as the intra-party dispute within Janata Samajbadi Party-Nepal (JSP) has been resolved. However, the CPN UML faction led by Madhav Kumar Nepal has yet to decide whether the lawmakers would join the government led by Deuba.
Moreover, the NC President has yet to finalise the list of his party's lawmakers who could be appointed ministers.
