Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba has issued a statement mentioning that the verdict issued by the Supreme Court is a historic one. He has appealed to all concerned not to take the decision made by the court to reinstate the House of Representatives as a victory or a loss.
Deuba has further added he will do the best he can to work in the interest of the country and the people who have placed their trust in him.
The constitutional bench of the Supreme Court which had been hearing the writ petitions filed against the dissolution of the House today issued a verdict reinstating the Lower House and to appoint Deuba as the prime minister of the country by 5 pm on Tuesday.
He also said the decision made by the apex court had placed more responsibility on him to work with patience and by forging unity among all concerned for the development of the country and the people. Deuba has also urged everybody to not take this decision as a personal gain or loss but as a step to further the efforts to preserve the constitution and parliamentary practices of the country.
