A meeting between Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba and Chairman of the Main Opposition Party CPN-UML KP Sharma Oli has started at Oli's residence in Balkot.
According to Oli's secretariat, discussions have started between the leaders of Nepali Congress and UML on the US-backed Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC). According to Oli's secretariat, Prime Minister Deuba, Minister for Communications and Information Technology Gyanendra Bahadur Karki, Nepali Congress Vice President Purna Bahadur Khadka, General Secretary Gagan Thapa and UML General Secretary Shankar Pokharel and Deputy General Secretary Pradip Gyawali are also present.
This afternoon, Prime Minister Deuba had separate discussions between the ruling coalition party CPN-Maoist Central Committee Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda and CPN (Unified Socialist) Chairman Madhav Kumar Nepal. It is said that discussions are underway to pass the MCC from the parliament and remove the obstruction of the parliament.
