A meeting of the top leaders of the five ruling parties is underway at the PM's residence to discuss the current political situation in the country, complete the cabinet soon and form a consensus with the top officials of the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC).
As the main opposition parties did not allow the parliament to function smoothly which started on Wednesday, the two houses met this afternoon and discussed strategically and how to make the parliamentary activities effective, said a leader who participated in the meeting.
The meeting was attended by Prime Minister and President of Nepali Congress Sher Bahadur Deuba, Chairman of CPN (Maoist Center) Pushpa Kamal Dahal, Chairman of CPN (Unified Socialist) Madhav Kumar Nepal, Chairman of Janata Samajwadi Party Nepal (JSP) Upendra Yadav, Joint General Secretary of Nepali Congress Purna Bahadur Khadka and Spokesperson of Rastriya Janamorcha. Durga Poudel is a participant.
