Today's meeting of the Madhes Provincial Assembly has been postponed. Speaker Saroj Kumar Yadav has adjourned the meeting till 11 am on Thursday as the required quorum was not present in the meeting.
At the beginning of the meeting, the members of the Opposition Provincial Assembly had demanded to postpone the meeting as the required quorum was not present for the meeting. Speaking at the outset of the meeting, Democratic Socialist Party state assembly member and whip Parameshwar Shah said that the meeting should be postponed as the required quorum was not present for the meeting.
In today's meeting of the state assembly, the agenda was to read the letter received from the state head office regarding the verification of the bill, and also to discuss the resolution proposal regarding the implementation of the state police act presented by the Minister of Internal Affairs and Communications Bharat Prasad Shah.
Similarly, Minister for Industry, Tourism and Forests Sathrudhan Mahato is scheduled to present a bill in today's meeting to make arrangements for the promotion and management of tourism in the state, said Secretary of the Provincial Assembly Secretariat Ranjit Kumar Yadav.
