More than 7,000 votes were invalidated in the Gulmi district in the House of Representatives and Provincial Assembly elections held on November 4.
In the district where there are two constituencies, 7,061 votes were invalidated directly for the House of Representatives and the Provincial Assembly, District Election Office Gulmi informed. In Region No. 1, 1,825 votes for the House of Representatives and 1,659 votes for the Provincial Assembly have been invalidated. Similarly, Meghlal Pandey, Information Officer of the District Election Office, Gulmi, said that 1,893 votes for the House of Representatives and 1,684 votes for the Provincial Assembly were invalidated in Region No. 2.
Out of 223 thousand 615 voters, 128 thousand 975 people voted in the district.
It is estimated that a large number of votes were invalidated in the district due to the alliance of the parties and the lack of voter education in the villages. A complaint was filed stating that voter education given by health volunteers in the district, was not effective.
