The National Assembly (NA) chairman Ganesh Prasad Timilsina has stressed the need for following parliamentary practices through democratic means. The NA chair was addressing a program organised on Thursday to exchange experiences among the NA vice chair and deputy speakers of all seven provinces.
Referring to the reservation and proportional quotas in terms of geography, caste, community, and gender, he viewed such a system would discouraging the practice of competition and decreasing one’s efficiency.
He pledged to strengthen federal and province levels as NA members are true representatives of all local levels and provinces.
