The Nepali Congress has stated that it will update the party's registration with the Election Commission and register the party today for the purpose of election of National Assembly members.
The first meeting of the Congress Central Working Committee held today after the party's 14th general convention had decided to register the party with the Election Commission today for the purpose of election of National Assembly members. A few days ago, the commission had published the last date of registration of the party. Similarly, the meeting has also decided to update the registration in the commission as per the constitution and political parties act.
Besides, the meeting decided to move ahead by maintaining strong unity in the party, assimilating the spirit of enthusiasm, unity and transformation expressed in the General Convention, said General Secretary Bishwaprakash Sharma. He said that the meeting also decided to thank all those who played a role in concluding the convention.
