The Nepali Congress has decided to defer its 14th general convention by nine days.
The meeting of the party office bearers and former office-bearers held at the residence of party President Sher Bahadur Deuba decided to hold the 14th general convention from September 1 to 4, according to Joint General Secretary Dr Prakash Sharan Mahat.
Earlier, the NC had decided to hold the general convention from August 23 to 26.
Similarly, the meeting decided to hold its next meeting of the central working committee on June 17.
The party said the date for the general convention was rescheduled in view of the effects of COVID-19.
