Purna Bahadur Tamang of the Nepali Congress has been elected from Ramechhap, which is the only constituency, with a margin of more than 16,000 votes. According to the results of counting of votes completed today, Tamang has won by beating his nearest rival Kailash Dhungel of CPN-UML by 16 thousand 360 votes.
According to the Ramechhap election officer's office, the newly elected Tamang has received 47,098 votes and Dhungel has received 30,729 votes.
