Rajeev Bikram Shah of Congress has been elected in Jajarkot Provincial Assembly 1. He defeated Khim Bahadur Shahi of UML by a margin of 5,510 votes.
Chief Electoral Officer Keshabaraj Chapai said that Shah won by getting 16,000 votes. His closest rival Shahi got 10,530 votes. Shah is also the president of the Nepal Athletics Association.
