Joint General-Secretary of the Nepali Congress, Prakash Sharan Mahat, has said that decision of Netra Bikram Chand-led group to follow the peaceful path after giving up the arms is positive.
Talking to media persons here today, leader Mahat argued that the agreement signed between the government and Chand-led group was positive.
He shared, "It is good to join the mainstream politics and the peaceful path. We do not yet know what is in the agreement."
On a different note, leader Mahat clarified that the NC would go in government under its leadership if need be, saying the NC would make its concept clear once the Parliament meeting takes place.
He added, "The NC will go in government under its leadership if a situation surfaces where a government cannot be formed without NC's presence."
The NC leader Mahat, however, clarified that they will go into government only if there would be necessity for the NC.
He opined that it is not the right time for NC to make concept as the Nepal Communist Party (NCP) has not been split formally.
