A meeting has been held between Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba and Chairman of the Main Opposition Party CPN (UML) KP Sharma Oli.
The two had a private meeting at Oli's residence at Balkot in Bhaktapur this morning.
Prime Minister Deuba had reached Balkot at around 10.30 this morning to meet UML Chairman Oli to discuss issues including removal of obstruction in the House of Representatives meeting. After the UML did not attend the all-party meeting convened by the Prime Minister to discuss the removal of the obstruction in the parliament, Prime Minister Deuba reached Oli's residence in Balkot for the discussion.
Earlier, Ram Chandra Poudel, coordinator of a high-level mechanism set up to assist in running the government, had reached Balkot and held discussions with UML Chairman Oli. Chairman Oli has been insisting on obstructing the parliamentarians of the Unified Socialist Party until the Speaker takes action and the parliamentarians and members of the Unified Socialist Party are present.
