Prime Minister and Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba has called for an all-party meeting to seek out ways to end the stalemate in the federal parliament. A meeting of the top leaders of the parties represented in the federal parliament has been called at the PM's residence in Baluwatar at 10 am on Thursday, said Keshav Raj Joshi, private secretary to the PM for the NC parliamentary party.
Private Secretary Joshi said that the meeting will concentrate on removing the obstacles seen in the operation of the parliament and discuss contemporary politics and other issues. In the current session of the Federal Parliament, the CPN (UML) has been obstructing the meeting expressing dissatisfaction with some of the actions of the Speaker.
Top leaders of Congress, UML, CPN (Maoist Center), CPN (Unified Socialist), Janata Samajwadi Party Nepal, Loktantrik Samajwadi Party Nepal, Rastriya Prajatantra Party, Rastriya Janamorcha and Nepal Majdoor Kisan Party have been invited to the meeting
