Minister for Internal Affairs and Communications of Province 2, Bharat Prasad Sah, has said that the name of Province-2 and its capital will be decided on January 17. Speaking at a program organized by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communication of Province 2 in Janakpurdham Sub-metropolis-7 today, Minister Sah said that the name of the province and the capital proposal would be presented in the meeting of the Provincial Assembly on January 16.
"The proposal regarding the naming of the state and the capital is being discussed," said Minister Sah, "The state capital should be Janakpur."
He expressed confidence that the issue of name and capital of the state would be decided anyway, as there was moral pressure on the members of the state assembly of all parties to decide on the name and capital of the state as there was little time left till the end of the term.
Stating that the state government has started a program of distributing blankets to the needy and poor people who could not afford clothes during the cold wave, Minister Sah said that the government was making necessary preparations to save the lives of the people from the cold. Speaking on the occasion, Leader of the Parliamentary Party of the Democratic Socialist Party Parameshwar Sah said that it was the responsibility of the state to save the lives of the poor people affected by the winter.
Deputy Chief of Janakpurdham Sub-Metropolis Rita Mishra and local Pawan Thakur said that the state government has done a commendable job by distributing blankets to the needy citizens.
On the occasion, Minister Jayakisun Sah, Hakim Rain, Vishwanath Das, Laxman Pandey, Anita Srivastav, Ramnath Pathak, Jagdish Sah, and others were felicitated for their special contribution in the field of social development. On the occasion, Minister Sah distributed blankets to 500 poor and needy families of different wards of Janakpurdham Sub-metropolis.
