Narayan Bahadur Silwal has been elected as the Chairperson of the Finance and Development Committee under Bagmati Province Assembly unanimously.
Similarly, Keshav Prasad Pokharel has been elected as the Chairperson of the Education, Health and Agriculture Committee under the Assembly.
Joint-Spokesperson at the Bagmati Province Assembly Secretariat, Umesh Raj Soti said both of them were announced as the chairs after only one candidate stood for both of the committee chairs on Sunday.
Election of both committees was scheduled for today. Silwal and Pokharel were candidates of the CPN (UML).
There are 20 members in Finance and Development Committee and 19 members at Education, Health and Agriculture Committee.
