CPN (UML) Chairman KP Sharma Oli has said that his party is not in a position to pass the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) as it is not in the parliamentary process.

Addressing the second national conference of the Progressive Professional Law Practitioners Association here today, he said that he would not go beyond the interest of the country and the people. "We have not been able to participate in the parliamentary process," he said. How can we pass MCC and fail if we do not participate in the parliament? ”

Chairman Oli said that the UML would only do what is appropriate for the nation in the interest of the nation and the people and international relations. Stating that justice is dead even though Nepal is the land of justice, he said that the Supreme Court was the final decision-making body but it did not abide by the constitution in the name of interpretation.

Chairman Oli also said that the judiciary would be distorted as the Supreme Court was making arbitrary decisions. "If the Supreme Court is distorted, what will happen to the country and society? Where does our method go? ”He asked. He said that the UML believed that Nepal's judiciary should be clean, holy and fair in accordance with the constitution.

Chairman Oli clarified that the impeachment of Chief Justice of the Supreme Court Cholendra Shamsher Rana has not been passed. "The impeachment of Rana will not be presented in the parliament for decision," he said. He stressed the need for a prosperous Nepal with justice and equality in all areas.

The conference will also elect new leadership.
