CPN-UML has directed its lawmakers to focus on local elections. At a meeting of the parliamentary party on Wednesday, Chairman KP Sharma Oli directed the lawmakers to focus on the election and go from village to village.
He went to the village and asked the party to clarify its stance on central activities and dissolution of the parliament, said Vishal Bhattarai, chief whip of the UML parliamentary party.
Oli has also instructed the lawmakers to act like the people's flesh without seeking their status and dignity.
Chairman Oli claimed that UML would win 65 to 70 per cent of the seats in the local elections. He said that the UML would compete alone in most of the constituencies despite coordination in some places.
