The meeting of the Standing Committee of CPN (UML) has been scheduled for today.
The meeting has been scheduled for today with expectations that the taskforce formed to end all disputes within the party and forge unity between the factions led by Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, who is also chairperson of the party, and senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal, will come up with a solution, said Secretary of the party's central office Sher Bahadur Tamang.
The meeting of the Standing Committee members will be held at the prime minister’s official residence in Baluwatar.
According to Tamang, if the taskforce reaches an agreement then it will be submitted to the party Standing Committee meeting for endorsement today itself. The meeting of the taskforce that started at 9:00 am today is still going on at Singhadurbar.
