Minister for Communications and Information Technology Rekha Sharma has said that preparations are ongoing to bring media related laws at the earliest possible time.
At the farewell programme of Ministry's Secretary Dr Baikuntha Aryal on Thursday, Minister Sharma said that preparations are on to bring the Communications Act based on the feedback and consultations of the media experts and stakeholders.
On the occasion, Minister Sharma, who is the government's spokesperson, directed the officials to work by being result-oriented to ensure direct benefit to the people and by honestly internalising the changes happening in the information technology sector.
She also expressed the confidence that the people would recognize secretary Aryal's qualification and competence wherever he goes for the job.
On the occasion, secretary Aryal shared about some accomplishments made during his posting in the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology.
Secretary Aryal was transferred to the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers by a decision of the cabinet meeting held on Tuesday.
