CPN-UML Chairperson KP Sharma Oli has stated that he will be creating obstructions in the parliament until the election. Responding to reporters' questions at the Biratnagar airport on Saturday, he said that the parliament would be obstructed until a new parliament is formed from the upcoming election.
When question whether the parliament will be able to function before the election, Oli remarked that the parliament is being run forcibly. "It simply came to our notice then. They have a habit of using force and they are doing it right now, ”he said.
CPN (UML) has been obstructing the parliament since September 8 in protest of the non-recognition of the expulsion of its 14 lawmakers by Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota. The CPN (Unified Socialist) was formed after the participation of 14 lawmakers including Madhav Kumar Nepal.
UML has continuously obstructed the parliament saying that the speaker did not recognize the action and helped to split the party. However, despite UML's opposition, Speaker Sapkota has still been conducting the sittings.
Oli has claimed that they will win the election. "After the election, they will be taught a lesson," he said. He said that the 'solar eclipse' that occurred after overthrowing the government, will not last long.
