Rajesh Rai Yadav has been elected as the President of Nepali Congress Bara by getting 1,206 votes. His rival Shambhu Bahadur Budhathoki got 1,154 votes.
Chief Election Officer Gangeshwar Prasad Adhikari said that 29 votes were cast in the election. Newly elected president Yadav has expressed his commitment to move forward by uniting all the party leaders and cadres. He said, "We have to work together to make the Congress the first party in the local elections."
