Ten players selected from today’s competition will next compete with 10 qualifiers who were SAF medalists.
Kapali says, “Earlier, we had a plan to include the SAF medalists to the secondary qualification as well but due to the risk of COVID-19 infections and to minimize the gatherings, we decided to include them directly in the final qualification only.”
Three male and three female players will be selected for the Asian Championship through the final qualifying competition scheduled to be held on August 19 and 20.
2021 Asian Table Tennis Championships will be held in Qatar from September 28 to October 5.
