The fifth RBB-NVA women and men national club league volley tournament will take place in Kathmandu from April 1.to 8.
Sharing information about the event at a press meet here today, President of Nepal Volleyball Association Manorajan Raman Sharma said that the men and women teams that showed outstanding results in the NCA club volleyball championship have been selected for the event. Eight men teams and six women teams are competing in the event while the top two teams in the league will play in the finals.
The winner of the tournament will win a cash prize of Rs. 300,000 each for both men and women teams while the runner-up will walk home with Rs. 150,000. Various individual prizes will also be awarded.
The league is expected to cost around Rs. 2.8 million. Rastriya Banijya Bank is the main sponsor of the tournament.
Those taking part in the event are Nepal Sports Club, Armed Police Force Club, Nepal Police Club, Tribhuvan Army club, Nayabazaar social youth club, Buddatole volleyball club, Manimukunda club Butwal and Bulbule Club Rara in the men's category, and APF, Nepal Police, Tribhuvan Army, New Diamond Sports club, Dhorpatan Volleyball training centre and Bharatpur Metro Sports Council will compete in the women's category.
