Blackburn Rovers forward Ben Brereton was among three uncapped players included in Chile's squad on Monday for FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Argentina and Bolivia.
The 22-year-old represented England at youth level but is eligible to play for La Roja because of his Chilean-born mother.
He has scored seven times in 43 matches this season for Rovers, who play in English football's second tier.
Chile head coach Martin Lasarte also named newcomers Juan Leiva and Gabriel Castellon in his 30-man squad.
As expected, Alexis Sanchez and his Inter Milan teammate Arturo Vidal were both included, as was veteran goalkeeper Claudio Bravo, central defender Gary Medel, and left-back Jean Beausejour.
Chile will face Argentina in Santiago del Estero on June 3 and Bolivia in Santiago five days later.
La Roja is currently sixth in the South American qualifying group with four points from as many matches. The top four teams will qualify for next year's World Cup in Qatar while the fifth-ranked side advances to an inter-continental playoff.
