Far-Western Province has registered its first victory in the Wai Wai Under-19 National Cricket Championship. In today's match, Far West defeated Karnali Pradesh by 10 wickets to register its first victory.
Karnali's 67-run target was completed by Far West in 12.1 overs without losing a wicket. Far West captain Khadak Bahadur Bohara was able to make 41 runs off 42 balls with five fours and two sixes. Naresh Bhatt made 16 runs off 31 balls with three fours.
Earlier, after losing the toss at Mulpani Cricket Ground, Karnali was all out for 66 runs in 16.5 overs. Karnali's Prakash Jaisi top-scored with 15 runs. Rupak Dhakal and Ramesh Budha were out for 11 and 12 runs respectively. Four players from Karnali could not open an account.
Sher Malla of Far West took 3 wickets for 6 runs in 2.5 overs including 1 maiden. Narayan Joshi took 3 wickets for 19 runs in 6 overs with 1 maiden. Akash Chand took 3 wickets for 28 runs in 6 overs. Narendra Saund took 1 wicket.
Earlier, Far Western Province had lost by 2 wickets to Bagmati and Province 2. Sudur will now play Gandaki on Tuesday.
