Defeating Afghanistan in yesterday's match of the ongoing ICC U-19 World Cup Cricket, Nepal entered the second round of the tournament.
With the victory in the final match of the first round held at Buffalo Park, East London of South Africa on Friday, Nepal entered the Super-Six stage of the ICC U-19.
Batting first, Afghanistan had posted a target of 146 runs against Nepal in 40.1 overs by losing all wickets.
Nepal met the target of 146 runs by losing nine wickets in 44.4 overs. For Nepal's victory, Captain Dev Khanal contributed 58 runs while Dipak Bohara made 27 and 16 runs from Akash Tripathi.
In the match, Nepal's Akash Chand alone took five wickets of Afghanistan and was declared the Player of the Match.
With the entry into the Super-Six, Nepal will meet India and Bangladesh in the cricket ground in the second round.
