KATHMANDU: Kathmandu Gurkhas have set a target of 104 runs for Lumbini Lions in Nepal Premier League (NPL).
Batting first at the Tribhuvan University Cricket Ground in Kirtipur after winning the toss, Kathmandu scored 103 runs in 19.2 overs, losing all their wickets.
Bhim Sarki top-scored for Kathmandu with 31 runs. Bhim hit one four in 40 balls. Similarly, Dan Dwathwaite was dismissed for 21 runs. Pratik Shrestha scored 20 runs and Stephen Skenazy was dismissed for 13 runs. Apart from that, other players could not add runs to double figures.
For Lumbini, Saad Bin Jaffer took three wickets, while Abhishek Gautam and Ramon Simmonds took two wickets each. Similarly, Surya Tamang and Vivek Yadav took one wicket each. Lumbini is now batting in reply.
