Kathmandu Rayzrs FC has qualified for playoff as the league leaders. The Rayzrs beat FC Chitwan with a scoreline of 2-1 in the last game of the league.
Messouke Olaoumu opened the scoring in the 19th minute to give Rayzrs the lead. Sanjok Rai added another goal for the Rayzrs to give them a comfortable lead. Six minutes after Rayzrs’ second goal, Rajiv Lopchan pulled back one goal for FC Chitwan. There were no goals later and the game ended 2-1 in favour of Kathmandu Rayzrs.
With the win from their last match, Kathmandu Rayzrs topped the league with 13 points from six games. FC Chitwan finished seventh with two points from six games and was unable to qualify for the next round. Tej Tamang from Kathmandu Rayzrs was declared ‘Man of the Match’ and rewarded a cash prize of Rs 25,000.
Kathmandu Rayzrs, Dhangadi FC, Lalitpur City FC and Butwal Lumbini FC have booked their places for the playoff of the Khukuri Nepal Super League. The playoff games have been scheduled for May 11-12. The game for the third place has been scheduled for May 13. The final of the competition will be held on May 15.
