In order to develop the game of cricket and maintain social harmony, the 9th Marwadi Premier League (MPR-9) competition will be organized in Biratnagar from March 26 to 30.
In the press conference organized by Nepal Agrawal Youth Forum here today, the youth team of Agrawal, Maheshwari, Oswal, Marwadi Brahmin, and Mendh Swarnakar of the Marwari community will participate in the competition. Chairman of the forum Pradip Agrawal informed that 10 league call knockout competitions will be held between five teams including Magic Stroker, Premier 11, Hulas 11, Parashuram Warrior and CSV 11 in the competition to be held at Shankarpur in Biratnagar-2.
The first team to win the competition will be awarded Rs. 61,000 in cash and the second team will be awarded Rs. 21,000 in cash along with a trophy and prize. Hemant Agrawal, the coordinator of the tournament, said that the game would be played on the basis of T-10. Before the competition, motorcycle yali will be held in different places of the city to arouse interest in sports among the youth. The Marwadi Youth League has been operating for the past 12 years.
