The Partenopei ranked fourth before Tuesday's game and needed a win to keep their Champions League hopes alive.
Napoli surged into a 2-0 lead in quick succession, as Piotr Zielinski opened the scoring account in the 28th minute, 3 minutes before Fabian Ruiz doubled the lead with a spectacular curler.
Stefano Okaka pulled one goal back for the away side before the interval, but Napoli restored their two-goal cushion 10 minutes after the break with Hirving Lozano's volley.
Giovanni Di Lorenzo extended the lead in the 66th minute, while Napoli captain Lorenzo Insigne rounded out the scoring with a screamer in the dying minutes.
