A national men's football team to play Nepal versus the United Arab Emirates (UAE) match under the FIFA World Cup and AFC Asian Cup Joint Qualification has been announced.
Nepali National Football Team head coach Vincenzo Alberto Annese on Friday announced the 23-member squad to play the match.
However, experienced defender Anant Tamang who was injured during a practice match has not been included in the team. Nepal will meet the UAE in the Al Matoum Stadium in Dubai on November 16.
Similarly, on November 21, it will face Yemen at Dashrath Stadium, Kathmandu. Nepal, the UAE, Bahrain and Yemen belong to the Group 'H' of the FIFA World Cup 2026 and AFC Sian Cup 2027 qualifier's second round.
In the first round of qualification, Nepal secured its position in the second round by defeating Laos.
Kiran Kumar Limbu, Deep Karki, Abhishek Baral, Sanish Shrestha, Rohit Chand, Anjan Rai, Ashish Chaudhary, Amrit Shrestha, Eric Bista and Chhiring Lama are the players to play against UAE. Likewise, the team also includes Yogesh Gurung, Laken Limbu, Utsav Rai, Kritish Ratna Chhunju, Manish Dangi, Sesehang Angdembe, Nishan Hamal, Anjan Bist, Ayush Ghalan, Gillespye Jung Karki, Hisub Thapaliya, Sanjeeb Bista and Rajesh Pariyar.
