A nationwide open men's volleyball tournament is being organized in the Kailali district by the Gudimunte Group of Creative Youth Society Nepal.
A nationwide open men's volleyball tournament is being organized in Tikapur from March 29 under the coordination of the Tikapur Municipal Sports Development Committee. Due to the lack of sports activities in Tikapur for a long time, the group had decided to organize a nationwide open men's volleyball tournament from last year. Program coordinator Nanda Singh BK said that the competition is being organized as a continuation of that. "We have to do this competition in Phagun. Could not set a date due to a corona infection. After that, another competition was also organized, so we had to move the time, ”said program coordinator BK.“ Now we have started preparing for the event. We have started organizing competitions with the aim of introducing Tikapur from the sports sector all over the country. ”
He said that the competition would also play a role in promoting the tourism sector in the Tikapur area as the tourism sector is also linked with sports. "Sports activities could not be held in Tikapur for a long time. Even though the Mayor was the Deputy Mayor Cup, it did not connect the overall sport, ”said Vick, the event coordinator. Therefore, we had organized a volleyball tournament that could not be held in Tikapur for years and we are continuing it. ”
It is said that the first prize has been increased to Rs. 151,000 from the second edition of the competition which started with Rs. 50,000 first prize last year. According to program coordinator BK, the volleyball tournament organized institutionally in the Kailali district has been a lot of money so far. Similarly, the second-place winner will receive Rs. 70,000 in cash, trophy, medal and certificate. The third-place winner will receive Rs 35,000 cash, trophy and certificate while the consolation team will receive Rs 10,000 cash, trophy and certificate. It is said that the team participating in the competition should have registered by March 30. The estimated cost of organizing the sports competition is Rs. 760,000.
