Nepal defeated Chinese Taipei 2-0 in the match played under the second round of qualifiers for the 2022 FIFA World Cup and 2023 Asian Cup.
The third match between Nepal and Chinese Taipei was held at Jaber al-Ahmad International Stadium in Kuwait City, Kuwait. In two previous matches, Nepal won one while drawn another against Chinese Taipei.
With the victory, Nepal now advanced to the third round of the Asian Cup to be held in China in 2023.
Anjan Bista from the Nepali side converted the penalty kick into a goal in three minutes after the match kicked off while Nawaug Shrestha converted the pass from Suman Aryal into the final goal for the country at 81st minute.
In today's match, both teams played well moving forward and backwards attacking and defending keeping up with the situation.
In the next match, Nepal will lock horn with Jordon on June 7 and Australia on June 11.
