With 6 wickets of Abhinash Bohra, Nepal defeated Maldives by 138 runs in the 19th Asian Games. Chasing a huge target of 213 runs for victory, Maldives were all out for 74 runs in 19.4 overs.
Nepali cricketer Abhinash Bohra took the most 6 wickets in that match. Sompal Kami, Sandeep Lamichhane, Gulshan Jha and Kushal Bhurtel took one wicket each from Nepal against Maldives.
After winning the toss and choosing to bat first, Nepal scored 212 runs losing 7 wickets in the scheduled 20 overs. Captain Rohit Poudel scored 52 runs, Kushal Malla scored 47 runs and Kushal Bhurtel scored 35 runs.
Nepal became the winner of Group A and reached the quarterfinals.
