Nepali shooting athlete Sushmita Nepal was ranked 42nd in women's 10m air rifle in the Paris Olympics-2024. Out of a total of 44 contestants, Sushmita secured the 42nd position. Luna Solomon of the refugee team finished 43rd while Houda Chhabi of Algeria did not participate.
Sushmita scored 607.8 points out of a total of 654 points in the match at the Chatroux Shooting Range, which is about 3 hours away from Paris. Sushmita scored 104.5 in the first series, 101.7 in the second, 100.7 in the third, 99.9 in the fourth, 102.2 in the fifth and 98.2 in the sixth. Sushmita's challenge is over as there is a provision that only the top 8 players will make it to the finals.
Sushmita has a national record of 619.1 points out of a total of 654 points in this competition. This record was made by Sushmita in the 19th Asian Games selection competition held in Hangzhou, China in Nepal.
South Korea's Hyujin Ban has entered the 8 finals with an Olympic qualification record of 634.5 points. The other players who reached the finals are Norway's Hague Ginette, Switzerland's Andre Gomiet, China's Yuting Huang, India's Ramita, Kazakhstan's Alexandra Le, America's Sagen Madalena and France's Osienne Muller. The final will be held on Monday.
