KATHMANDU: Pokhara Avengers experienced their second straight loss in the Nepal Premier League (NPL), while Janakpur claimed their third win in a row.
In Thursday's opening match, Janakpur triumphed over Pokhara by 7 wickets. Remaining unbeaten in their first three NPL games, Janakpur Bolts now lead the points table with 6 points.
They previously defeated Biratnagar Kings by 8 wickets and Karnali Yaks by 8 wickets in their first two games.
On the other hand, Pokhara’s run has been less fortunate. They lost their opening match to Chitwan Rhinos by 87 runs, and now face their second straight defeat.
In the latest match, Janakpur chased down the target of 139 runs set by Pokhara, reaching the target with 7 wickets in hand, finishing at 139/3 in 17.1 overs.
Earlier, Pokhara, batting first after Janakpur won the toss and elected to field, managed to score only 103/7 in their allotted 20 overs.
