KATHMANDU: Sudurpaschim Royals have booked their spot in the final of the Nepal Premier League (NPL) after defeating Janakpur Bolts by 8 wickets in the first qualifier.
Chasing a target of 140, the Royals comfortably reached 141/2 in 18.3 overs, securing a spot in the title match of the inaugural NPL season.
Despite losing the toss and being asked to bowl first, Sudurpaschim made light work of the chase.
Binod Bhandari, who remained not out, played a pivotal role, scoring 50 runs off 41 balls, including 3 fours and 3 sixes.
This marked Bhandari’s first half-century of the competition, and his composed knock helped steer the Royals to victory and into the final.
