KATHMANDU: The US dollar has reached its highest value ever in Nepal. The US dollar continues to set new records for its high price every day, with yesterday marking another record-breaking day.
In addition, the prices of several other foreign currencies, including the pound, Kuwaiti dinar, Bahraini dinar, and euro, have also risen today.
However, the Australian dollar has become cheaper, continuing its decline from yesterday.
According to the exchange rates published by Nepal Rastra Bank, the buying rate for one US dollar today is 135 rupees 54 paisa, and the selling rate is 136 rupees 14 paisa. This is the highest rate ever recorded for the US dollar.
Yesterday, the buying rate of one US dollar was 135 rupees 49 paisa, and the selling rate was 136 rupees 09 paisa.
Similarly, today the buying rate for one euro is 142 rupees 17 paisa, with the selling rate at 142 rupees 80 paisa. Yesterday, the buying rate for one euro was 142 rupees 13 paisa, and the selling rate was 142 rupees 76 paisa.
The buying rate for one Pound Sterling today is 172 rupees 05 paisa, and the selling rate is 172 rupees 82 paisa. Yesterday, the buying rate for one Pound Sterling was 171 rupees 40 paisa, and the selling rate was 172 rupees 16 paisa.
Today, the buying rate for one Australian dollar is 85 rupees 97 paisa, with the selling rate at 86 rupees 35 paisa.
Yesterday, the buying rate for one Australian dollar was 86 rupees 08 paisa, and the selling rate was 86 rupees 46 paisa.
The buying rate for one Kuwaiti dinar today is 440 rupees 57 paisa, and the selling rate is 442 rupees 52 paisa.
