The captain of the Nepali national cricket team, Sandeep Lamichhane, has been signed to the franchise cricket league T-20, ILT of the United Arab Emirates, UAE.
When the Emirates Cricket Board, the highest body of UAE cricket, announced the names of 50 players, Sandeep was also signed. A total of 34 matches will be played in the ILT tournament with 6 teams participating.
The first edition of the league will be held on January 6, 2023, in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Sarjah cricket grounds. There is a provision that there should be 2 UAE players and one associate team player in the playing 11 of every game. Because of this, players from Nepal and associate countries will get good prices and good opportunities as well.
