The Armed Police Force (APF) has registered its second consecutive victory in the Lalitpur Mayor Women's T20 Cricket Championship.
APF registered its second victory in the tournament by defeating Far Western Province by 6 wickets in a match played at the Tribhuvan Cricket Ground in Kiritipur today. Earlier, APF had defeated Province No. 1 by 6 wickets in the first match.
Far West had defeated Lalitpur Meyers-11 by 58 runs in the first match. In today's match, APF completed the target of 90 runs set by Far West by losing 4 wickets in 16.5 overs.
Roma Thapa remained unbeaten and contributed 23 runs in APF's victory. Similarly, Mamata Chaudhary remained unbeaten on 14 while Jyoti Pandey scored 11, Indu Burma 10 and Sarita Magar 9.
Ishwori Bista took two wickets and Ritu Kanojia took one for Far West. Far West, which had won the toss and elected to bat first, lost all its wickets in the allotted 20 overs and managed to score only 89 runs. Kavita Kunwar top-scored with 18 runs while Doli Bhatta added 11 runs for Far West.
Sonu Khadka was the top wicket taker for APF with 3 wickets while Karuna Bhandari and Sarita Magar bagged two wickets each and Rajmati Airy bagged one wicket
