Nepal's preparations for Women's SAFF Championship football continue as the sixth edition of Women's SAFF Championship will be held in Nepal from September 6. The women's team is currently preparing for the championship.
Coach Kumar Thapa is training the team. In the previous tournament, Nepal has not been able to reach the winning rank but this time, Nepal is targeting by making good use of the home ground.
Thapa is currently training 58 players. The Nepalese team had previously also practiced for the National Asian Games. Moreover, Nepal became the runner-up in two editions of SAFF Nepal.
The participant countries, Nepal, India, Bhutan, Bangladesh, Maldives, Sri Lanka and Pakistan, which has been banned by FIFA, will also compete in the tournament.
