The World Cup 2026 selection of football will be held on October 12 at Dasharath Stadium in Kathmandu. The match will be held within the Asian Qualifier Round 1. On that day, the first leg football match between Nepal and Laos will be held.
The 25-member team is currently undergoing closed training under the training of Vicenzo Auto Enes, the head coach of the Nepali National Football Team. In the FIFA rankings, Laos is ranked 186th while Nepal is ranked 175th.
On the day of the match, the ticket price has been fixed at Rs 300 for the general gate and Rs 500 for the VIP gate.
The estimated budget for the tournament is $56,680.
