KATHMANDU: Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Badri Pandey, has said the government is preparing to introduce a new tourism policy aimed at the overall development of this sector.
In his address to the 26th anniversary celebrations of the Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) here today, the Minister said the government is about to issue and implement new policies to drive the entire tourism industry towards a better position.
He stressed the need to operate the NTB under a public private partnership (PPP) model.
On the occasion, he announced that the "Tourism Decade" will be launched tomorrow, the first day of 2025, with the goal of attracting more and more tourists to Nepal.
"Our nation is rich in diversities-spanning caste, language, religion, culture and geography. It is warranted to further promote the tourism sector by conserving and reflecting unity, tolerance and goodwill amidst these diversities," he stressed.
