KATHMANDU: An earthquake struck Mugu on Friday morning. According to the National Seismological Measurement and Research Center, the earthquake occurred at 8:03 a.m.
The center reported that the earthquake had a magnitude of 4.4, with its epicenter near Luma in Mugu.
Small earthquakes have been occurring frequently in western Nepal in recent times.
There has been a continuous series of earthquakes in the Sudurpaschim and Karnali provinces.
Several earthquakes with magnitudes greater than 4 were recorded in Darchula, Jajarkot, Baitadi, and Mugu in recent times.
