Days after Ian tore through central Florida, carving a deadly path of destruction into the Carolinas, water levels continued rising in some flooded areas.
Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has directed the bodies concerned to make arrangements for the immediate rescue and relief of those affected by flood, landslide, and inundation following heavy rainfall in various regions of the country.
Landslides triggered by heavy monsoon rains hit parts of western India, killing at least five people and leading to the overnight rescue of more than 1,000 other people trapped by floodwaters, an official said Friday.
