The International Monetary Fund (IMF) on Tuesday projected that the global economy will grow by 5.9 percent in 2021, down by 0.1 percentage point from July's forecast, according to the latest World Economic Outlook.
Cooperation between the United States and China, the world's two largest economies, would be vital for a faster global recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic, Managing Director of the IMF Kristalina Georgieva said on Thursday.
