Police have arrested 38-year-old Lakshman Chamling Rai, a resident of Sikaicha, Sirijungha Rural Municipality of Taplejung, on the charge of murdering his wife, 31-year-old Nisha Rai.

The police said that Nisha died on the spot when Laxman hit her on the head with a stick in the kitchen.

 The police are investigating further in this regard.
