Yomari Purnima was celebrated today. Today is celebrated by eating yomari, a special sweet.

A yomari is a confection of rice flour (from the new harvest) dough shaped like fish and filled with brown cane sugar and sesame seeds, which is then steamed. On this occasion, a successful women’s group made yomari sweets and distributed them at the Bhimsen Sthan location in Kathmandu.
